Gå-hjem-møde: Bob Chitester: “Who Chooses, Who Benefits, Who Pays, What’s Fair.”
CEPOS havde besøg af manden bag Milton Friedmans berømte TV-serie ”Free to Choose”, Bob Chitester.
Chitester var i København, hvor han den 24. januar 2012 besøgte CEPOS for at tale om, hvordan man befordrer frihed og bedst muligt kommunikerer borgerlig-liberale synspunkter gennem medier.
Foredraget foregik på engelsk.
Freedom is essentially a measure of the degree to which individuals decide on the actions they will take. Those who profess to love liberty must also embrace the concept of limited government and come to understand a politician’s offer of help is always conditioned on a restriction of the individual’s right to choose. This was the central thesis of Milton Friedman’s work on public policy questions and is the message of his TV series Free To Choose and the book based on the series.
Bob Chitester: Bob is founder and president of Free To Choose Network (FTCN) and its educational initiatives izzit.org. With more than 40 years of experience creating programs and series for public television, including the original PBS series Free To Choose with Nobel prize winning economist Milton Friedman, he continues to be creatively involved as Executive Producer in the design production of programs and series for Free To Choose Network and izzit.org.
